If you have a current firearms licence and wish to include or remove a genuine reason endorsement you must apply to do so by:
- Taking your existing licence to Service Tasmania
- Paying the replacement card fee.
- Completing a statutory declaration indicating which endorsements you wish to add or remove (eg. Category A, genuine reason 1)
- Providing proof of your new genuine reason*.
*For example if you wish to gain an endorsement for sport/target shooting you must provide proof of current membership of an approved Tasmanian sport or target shooting club, and complete an Approval for Exchange of Information form.
There is no requirement for a new photograph if you are only seeking a change to your genuine reason endorsements.
